The Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Qatar is a non-profit association founded in Doha in 2009 as the Spanish Business Council and was officially recognized as a Chamber of Commerce in 2019 by Spain’s Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism. The Chamber is registered with the Qatar Financial Center and is located in the Burj Doha Tower.
The Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Qatar is part of the Federation of Spanish Chambers of Commerce in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania (FEDECOM) and maintains regular contact with the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services, and Navigation of Spain, offering its members the opportunity to benefit from the network of 42 Chambers of Commerce around the world.
Foreign Chambers are essential in fulfilling one of the main objectives of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, which is the internationalization of Spanish companies.
In this regard, with the aim of supporting the initiation and diversification of Spanish companies in their internationalization processes, the Chamber of Commerce provides assistance to companies through its members.
Personalized Services
Tailored services are offered to companies considering establishing themselves in Qatar, such as identifying business partners, organizing business meeting agendas, and providing on-site support.
Events and Networking
The Chamber organizes business and social events to enhance relationships among members and encourages networking with chambers from other countries.
Training
Webinars are conducted in collaboration with members, along with language sessions in Arabic and Spanish. Additionally, agreements have been signed to bring Spanish educational offerings closer to Qatar.
Marketing and Advertising
Social media, the website, and events are used as platforms to increase the visibility of our members and promote their activities in Qatar.
Qatar is one of the fastest growing and one of the most promising regional economies globally, and maintains balanced growth rates despite various global challenges, seeking to achieve a diversified, competitive and knowledge-based economy, following the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Regarding foreign investment in the country, the State has developed a favourable business environment through the launch of several initiatives, including the creation of a Single Window, establishment of Free Zones and investment incentives, among others.
The Chamber supports Spanish companies wishing to establish themselves in the country with fully customised services, consultancy and accompaniment at any stage of the process.
Qatar offers numerous opportunities for companies looking to expand their reach into Qatar and the Gulf. They have one of the most favourable economic and business environments in the region. Moreover, Qatar’s tax system is competitive and concise. The maximum tax rate is 10% of a company’s total state profits (annual payment). Regular business costs are deductible, and losses can be carried forward for up to three years after the original accounting return.
