The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (SpCCJ) was established in April 2017 to provide a unified voice and strengthen business relations between Spain and Japan. It is officially recognized by both the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan and the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism of Spain.
We will offer events with speakers, networking opportunities, and unique guests throughout the year, with the hope of helping to strengthen Hispanic-Japanese ties in business. Additionally, the Chamber seeks to channel the activities of the Japanese and Spanish business communities, fostering business relationships and developing a support network for existing and new members.
Furthermore, it provides various services to the members of the SpCCJ, which include referrals, exposure in our online directory, social media, events and other communications, special discounts on events, the possibility of joining our sector committees, recruitment services, basic consulting, and the opportunity to become part of the Board of Directors.

Japan is the third largest economy in the world, with a stable market, advanced infrastructure, highly qualified personnel and strong domestic demand. Japan is the main recipient of direct investments in Asia and the presence in this market favours the entry into the rest of Asian markets. In addition, the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) signed in 2019 has allowed the reduction of tariffs and regulated trade, simplifying entry into the Japanese market. Japan has a strong demand for high-quality and innovative raw materials and products, and the government offers attractive incentives for foreign investment.
Japan currently offers opportunities in high quality products and innovation, agrotech, health (especially focused on the ageing population) and renewable energy.
The EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) eliminates tariffs, guarantees the opening of services markets, improves data protection and eases bureaucracy.
Japan offers assistance to Spanish companies to open subsidiaries, including free office space and facilitation of bureaucratic procedures.
